There are 58 spacious bedrooms with en suite showers. Many of the bedrooms have private patios. Within the bedrooms there is a choice of colour schemes, type of flooring and type of bed, including double beds. There are four beautifully furnished lounges that include large flat screen TVs and a variety of chairs and sofas to accommodate the different preferences of seating. All four dining rooms have Kitchenette facilities that are available to visitors and families to use for refreshments when visiting. With a state of the art hair and beauty salon, Residents may avail themselves of our visiting hairdresser. Alternatively, Resident’s personal hairdresser can also use the facility. The corridors are wide, light and airy making much use of natural light via light wells and large windows. Additional to the lounges, the corridors are also furnished to offer alternative resting areas.

St James Court Nursing & Residential Home at Hoyland Common has recently opened its doors and has undoubtedly raised the bar for the standard of care facilities in the area.
Boasting 58 double bedrooms, all complete with en-suite wet rooms and a range of quality bespoke furniture, St James Court has had no expense spared in giving it a real touch of class in terms of décor and comfort.
Invited guests where given the 'Royal Tour' by home manager Mary Armitage as the finishing touches were being put to what can only be described as a palace fit for all who require their services.
The home was officially opened by Barnsley East MP Michael Dugher – pictured above – who said after the ceremony "At a time when there is so much pressure on the elderly care system, it's great to see such high quality facilities opening in Hoyland Common"

St James Court were nominated for the Extra Mile Award by Trevor Hewitt who is the workforce development manager for BMBC. There were 18 nominations received in total for this particular category and St James Court were one of three finalists. An award presentation evening was held on 19th June when it was announced that St James were the winner of this particular category. Mr Hewitt is to visit the home on 4th July to present the home with the award.
